Workshop with Dr. Elaine Murtagh - 'Spicing Up Our Walk'

Our Green School Committee and students from Third Class were very fortunate to be able to take part in a zoom workshop with Dr. Elaine Murtagh, Senior Lecturer in. Physical Education in the Department of. Physical Education and Sport Sciences at the University of Limerick.

We learned about the benefits of walking and exercise on our bodies and discussed ways in which we can enhance our walks and make them more fun and appealing.

Thanks so much to Elaine for kindly giving up her time to speak with our students. The talk was a resounding success. Our green school students, in particular, are excited to organise events such as colour runs and walk and talks in the near future!
