Our Location and Facilities
Scoil Mhuire, situated in Broadway village, is the parish school of Our Lady’s Island/Tacumshane, Co. Wexford. The school has a splendid view of Our Lady’s Island Lake with the Atlantic Ocean meeting St. George’s Channel in the background. Built in 1980, it is the most south-easterly school in Ireland. Our school crest shows the windmill in Tacumshane and the castle in Our Lady’s Island. |
There is ample space for children to play and explore, with a large pitch, tarmac playground, vegetable plot, sensory garden, picnic tables, a hurling wall and a basketball court. We encourage all students to be active at break times and to exercise fairness in games. |

Here in the small parish of Our Lady's Island/Tacumshane we have a strong sense of community. Everyone pulls together and there is a genuine sense of solidarity.
Scoil Mhuire relies on the goodwill of our community and we are thankful to have such generous people in our parish that have, in the past, and continue to contribute to our school in big and small ways.
The school has a dedicated Board of Management and Parents' Association who work tirelessly for the good of our school.
