Fundraising for St Nicholas Mission Academy
Towards the end of last year, during Active Week, we held a Fun Run, to raise funds for the children in Ms Kate Byrne’s school in Kokrobite, Ghana. Ms Byrne spent some time teaching in our school and we managed to raise €535.95 before she returned to Ghana during the summer holidays.
Ms Byrne and the children in St Nicholas Mission Academy sent us a letter recently detailing how they used the funds to complete wonderful work in the school and also to purchase numerous resources for the children. We hope to chat via Zoom in the not too distant future.
With their permission we share the letter with you all and thank you again for supporting the Fun Run and the wonderful children in St Nicholas Mission Academy.

An Taisce Green Schools Travel and Safe Routes to School
Thanks to An Taisce Green Schools Travel and Safe Routes to School, a bike rack and canopy as well as a scooter rack have been installed on the school yard just inside the pedestrian gate.
We welcome such a fabulous resource and we look forward to seeing it being utilised particularly in the finer weather.
As a Green School, with a very active Green School Committee, this is a wonderful addition to our school and will enable us to continue to strive to be as green as we can be!
