The Big Beach Clean 2021 will take place between the 17th and 19th of September. The Big Beach Clean is a Clean Coasts initiative that usually takes place in September, with the end of the bathing season.

County Wexford is the proud home to some of the best beaches in Ireland. Wexford boasts a series of stretched, sandy beaches which are ideal for building sandcastles, swimming, exploring rock pools or collecting shells!

We are very lucky in our community to live so close to many stunning beaches-Carne, in particular, being the most popular. To keep our beloved beaches beautiful, we must all work together to leave our beaches cleaner than we found them! It is undeniable that there has been a significant rise in marine pollution, particularly in the last few years but the great news is there's a simple way to help-and all it takes is 2 minutes!

We are asking everyone who goes to the beach to do their very own #2minutebeachclean. If you would like to document your great work, we would be delighted to share your picture on our school website (email [email protected]) or you can take a photo of the litter you collect and post your snap on Instagram/Twitter/Facebook with the hashtags #2minutebeachclean and #cleancoasts. It’s as easy as that!
